The water bath test is also commonly referred to as the hot water bath leak test or aerosol can leak detection,as it is primarily used to check for leaks in pressurized aerosol containers.
When aerosol containers are filled with pressurized gases or liquids, making them prone to potential leaks or explosions if there are structural defects. If a weak or leaking can may explode under heat or pressure. If the product inside is flammable, toxic, or corrosive, leakage can endanger consumers, workers, and the environment.So, it is extremely important for aerosol products.

How it works?

 

The suspended fully automatic aerosol water bath leak detector produced by Yangzhou Meida Filling is designed and developed by absorbing foreign advanced technology and combining domestic actual conditions. The machine is not limited by the material of the tank body, can detect a variety of aerosol products, and can perform full tank detection with a detection speed of 50-90 cans/minute.
The main drive of the machine is driven by an explosion-proof motor and is equipped with an overload automatic separation device to ensure the safe operation of the machine. The electric heating system uses an explosion-proof heat pipe, which can be heated to the required temperature as needed and can be automatically controlled. The conveyor belt uses an explosion-proof motor, and the main equipment in the switch cabinet is explosion-proof. Safety electric valves are installed at the tank inlet and outlet, and the machine can automatically stop when the tank is blocked. The main parts of the machine are made of stainless steel or high-quality carbon steel. The tank outlet and conveyor belt are equipped with an automatic drying system.

Material Selection

Stainless Steel: High-grade stainless steel is chosen for the water bath tanks because of its durability and resistance to corrosion, especially when exposed to water and high temperatures.

Manufacturing

Metal Fabrication: The stainless steel sheets are cut, bent, and welded to form the water bath equipment. Special attention is given to weld quality and the integrity of the tank to withstand high temperatures and pressures.

Frame Construction: The frame is fabricated to provide stability for the machine. Our manufacturing process ensures precise alignment between the tank and the frame for a seamless fit.

Integration of Heating Elements: Heating elements are installed at the base of the tank.We design the heating system to provide even distribution of heat, ensuring uniform water temperatures across the entire bath.

Control Systems: The digital control system, including temperature sensors and pressure monitoring equipment, is wired and integrated. The system features automated temperature control to maintain the bath at optimal testing conditions, usually around 50~55°C.

Assembly

Final Machine Assembly: After individual components are manufactured, the tank, heating elements, control system, and frame are assembled into the final water bath testing machine. We ensure that all components are precisely fitted to maximize durability and ease of operation.

Can Holders Installation: Adjustable fixtures for holding aerosol cans in the water bath are installed. These are typically designed to accommodate various can sizes, ensuring versatility for different types of aerosol products.

Safety Features Integration: Explosion-proof designs, emergency stop buttons, and automatic shutdown mechanisms are integrated to meet stringent safety standards, particularly for flammable or high-pressure aerosol products.

Quality Control and Testing

Functional Testing: Before shipping, each water bath testing machine undergoes rigorous functional testing. This includes checking the temperature control system, verifying even heat distribution, and ensuring proper operation of safety features.

Leak Testing Simulation: Sample aerosol cans are tested in the water bath to ensure the machine can accurately detect leaks or can failures during testing.
