Features

Stainless Steel Tank:

The water bath is typically made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel to ensure durability and cleanliness. Stainless steel also helps maintain the temperature consistency of the water. The size of the tank is designed to accommodate a specific batch of aerosol cans for efficient testing.

01

Electric Heating System:

The tester comes with an electric heating element (commonly a stainless steel electric heating tube) that is used to raise the water temperature to the standard test temperature (usually around 50-55°C).Heating power of 7 kW, typically powered by a 380V connection. The heating element is carefully controlled to avoid overheating, and temperature is kept stable by an automatic temperature control system.Low power consumption is achieved through efficient heat management.

02

Temperature Control:

The equipment features an automated temperature control system that maintains the water at the necessary temperature for leak testing, ensuring accurate results.A solid-state relay (SSR) and explosion-proof switch are used to control the electrical components, ensuring no sparks are produced-an important safety feature for testing flammable or hazardous aerosol products.

03

Safety Features:

The relay and switches are designed to prevent any risk of ignition or explosion in an environment that deals with pressurized or flammable materials.Ensures that even if a can leaks a flammable propellant, the operation remains safe, preventing ignition. The tester is designed to prevent direct exposure to the operator while testing cans, reducing the risk of injury in case of a sudden burst or failure during the test.

04

Manual Operation:

Aerosol cans can be placed into the water manually, either individually or in a batch using a wire basket. The cans are submerged to check for leaks.Once submerged, bubbles rising from the can indicate a leak, as the pressurized product escapes through any weak points in the can or valve. The operator watches for the appearance of bubbles to detect any leakage. Care must be taken to handle the products properly, especially if cans burst.

05

Water Stirring and Consistency:

The water in the tank must be evenly stirred to ensure a uniform temperature. Without proper stirring, areas near the heating element may be significantly hotter than other parts of the tank, resulting in inaccurate testing. This ensures all cans are subjected to the same temperature conditions, vital for a consistent test environment.

06

Post-Test Drying:

After the test is complete, the tested aerosol cans must be removed from the tank and dried. This is typically done using an air blow gun to remove water from the valve area and the can body. Once dried, the cans are wiped with a towel before they proceed to packaging or further processing.

How It Works?

Preparation:

Before the machine is powered on, ensure that the water level is above the heating pipe to avoid damaging the heating element.

01

Heating:

The water is heated to the required temperature (55°C is typical for aerosol testing). The temperature is maintained and monitored to ensure consistent conditions.

02

Leak Testing:

Aerosol cans are submerged in the water bath. The operator observes for the presence of bubbles that rise from the can, which indicates a leak.

Testing can be done in small batches, with the cans placed in a wire basket or individually.

The cans are kept in the water bath for a specific period to ensure any potential leaks are identified.

03

Drying:

After testing, the cans are removed from the water bath and must be dried thoroughly, especially in areas like the valve cup and bottom of the can, to prevent corrosion or damage to the packaging.
